Grey

Your love felt deep red,
warm, romantic and comforting.
Your home shone silver,
like the band of a diamond ring.
Your eyes were a blue,
that I wanted to dive into.
And your lips were pink,
soft, honest and true.

But then the red began to burn,
and the silver turned to grey,
The blue, once so inviting,
seemed cold and far away.

The pink became a disguise,
for your rainbow of lies.
The world became a little duller,
the day you showed me your true colour.
