A Quote a Day to keep the Lockdown Blues Away: Day 95

Alice Walker

Alice Walker was born in Georgia on 9th February 1944. She is a novelist, short story writer, poet and social activist. She rose to fame with her novel The Color Purple (a beautiful story, which I really should review!) in 1982 and went on to win the National Book Award for hardcover fiction and the Pulitzer Prize for Fiction.

You can find The Color Purple here!

I am going to be doing my best to use my platform as a way to support #blacklivesmatter. Do your best to spread awareness and highlight the importance of this movement.
