Ntozake Shange was an American playwright and poet born on October 18th 1948. Shange was proudly a black feminist and addressed the issues associated with racial discrimination throughout much of her work.
Shange is well known for her play, “For Coloured Girls Who Have Considered Suicide/When the Rainbow is Enuf” – beautiful, passionate and highly recommended.
