Audrey Hepburn’s Words of Wisdom

Audrey Hepburn was born 91 years ago today…

Audrey Hepburn may not be a literary hero, however, she certainly has her fair share of beautiful quotes. Many people know of her films (Breakfast at Tiffany’s, Roman Holiday, My Fair Lady, A Nun’s Story, Funny Face; to name a few) and know her as a timeless fashion icon, however, it wasn’t just the film and fashion industry that Audrey left an everlasting impact on. She spent her whole life going above and beyond for others and doing everything she could to spread love and kindness, later devoting herself to UNICEF.

Born on 4th May 1929, Audrey Hepburn’s fashion, beauty, films and kind words are timeless. Whilst her films are some of my favourite of all time, the story of the lady behind the screen is the most fascinating of all and her quotes give us a lot of insight into the way that she lived her life.

If I ever feel a little down, I look at some Audrey Hepburn quotes, there is a beautiful magic in her words…

‘Anyone who does not believe in miracles is not a realist.’

‘You can tell more about a person by what he says about others than you can by what others say about him.’

‘For beautiful eyes, look for the good in others; for beautiful lips, speak only words of kindness; and for poise, walk with the knowledge that you are never alone.’

‘Forgive quickly, kiss slowly, love uncontrollably and never regret anything that made you smile.’

‘Remember, if you ever need a helping hand, it’s at the end of your arm, as you get older, remember you have another hand: The first is to help yourself and the second is to help others.’

‘Beauty is being the best version of yourself, inside and out.’
